Summer Camp- for SL Kids

So........ after last summer I was a bit sad with how many of my friends were disappointed because they couldn't get into Summer Camp- or at least the one that is the main one on Second Life.  It made me want to do something so that more people would get the opportunity to go to a high quality summer camp.  I understand the need to have a non laggy Sim during a camp so kids can actually do the activities there.  I encourage you to try to get into the CHK camp still this summer.  If you do not get into that camp though -I am offering an alternative.

After looking through costs of everything that is needed for a camp- I have decided that 1,000 lindens is a good price.  Really think about it- 1,000 lindens is 4 real life dollars?  Can you afford a week of a fun filled, sleepover camp for 4 bucks?

If you still think it cost too much think about this:
Renting a Full Sim for setup/camp
Camp Outfit
Camp Groups
Cabin Photos
Crafts
Signs around camp/camp schedules
Decorations/Buildings/Prizes/Crafts for during the week.
Staff are also getting paid (counselors)

I am planning on limiting it to 48 campers.  Why you ask?  I want you to be able to actually participate in the activities on the Sim.  If you are too laggy to move- then it is hard to participate.  There will also be counselors/camp directors on the Sim.  We will also have a parent day -when I would like parents to be able to visit for a couple hours that day.  If we max out how many people are on the Sim before parent day- then that day cannot exist.

You might ask, "What can I offer a camp?"  Well I am letting you know that I have been in Second Life since 2009, and have been active on a child avatar since 2010.    I grew up going to camp in real life.  I have attended 3 different camps in real life as a camper.  I also worked for a camp in real life for 4 years.  Campers kept me coming back each year-because they would say you are part of this camp.  It brings me joy to be able to make people happy.  Providing this camp gives me that opportunity.
